We had a wonderful vacation/family reunion earlier this month in Colorado. Ally did very well on the airplane--the best so far! She flew to AZ when she was 4 months old, and then to CO at 16 months, two years, and now this trip at almost 3. Of course, this was the first time she wasn't a lap baby, so it was a little more expensive. But totally worth it!
We visited a great children's museum, with a restored farmhouse the kids could explore.
Ally should never join a sorority. Just sayin.
And that was root beer.
She got a little crazy.

Ally and David at the top of Pike's Peak. They took the cog rail up with the rest of the fam, but I stayed down at the campsite since I'm preggo. It can make people feel faint and dizzy going to such a high altitude.
We did so much in those 7-8 days! We visited the North Pole, a little theme park up in the mountains. Parker had a small fair with kiddie booths, music, food, and a giant bubble tower before the actual fireworks. The cousins had a blast together, getting as dirty as possible at the campsite (Lone Duck Campground) we stayed at for a couple of nights. Ally "caught" her first fish! She sort of helped reel it in. David also caught a fish, and Ally kept touching it! Eww! But the trout tasted very good. It was so nice to catch up with the rest of the family, and let the cousins play and get reacquainted. And a big thanks to Kris and Sam for letting us stay with them!

We were in CO for the Fourth, as well! We even planned on going to the Children's Museum but all came down with colds. Where were you exactly?
We had so much fun with you guys! We miss you a ton!
Natalie--we were in Highlands Ranch most of the time, and also in Parker and camping in Cascade. I saw on your blog that you were in Denver!! I wish we'd known, we could have hung out for a bit!
